Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

What happens after I call?

A real person talks through what's going on, we work out how urgent it is, and get a licensed plumber moving toward you. You'll know roughly what to expect before we hang up.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

If the hot water's out, a drain's stopped clearing, water's moving somewhere it shouldn't, or there's any hint of gas, that's a call-now situation. Short of active damage or a genuine safety risk, most things can hold for a booking that suits you.

How fast can you get here?

The aim is always the same day, at any hour you call. We can't promise an exact time, but we won't dodge the question either, we'll tell you straight.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9139 9963 for the fastest response, or get in touch through our contact page and we'll call you back.

Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and the $65 Off

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

Because the lowest price and the right fix aren't always the same job. We price honestly for proper work and a lifetime labour warranty, not a number designed to win a race to the bottom.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. Coming out to look and giving you a fixed number costs nothing, whether you go ahead with the work or not.

Does the price change once you start?

No. The figure you approve before we start is what you're charged, even if the job turns out more involved than it first looked.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We assess the job on site, explain what's involved, and give you one number for the whole thing. You approve it before any work begins. New customers also get $65 off your first service booked online.

Common questions

Working In and Around Meadowbank

Do you know Meadowbank's older streets as well as the new apartment blocks?

Both, honestly. The remnant post-war brick pocket on the higher streets and the Shepherds Bay towers bring different plumbing problems, and we work across both regularly.

Why do Meadowbank's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

Age, mostly. Pipework installed decades ago on the surviving post-war streets is well past what it was built to last, and that's when bursts and leaks tend to happen.

Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?

Yes. Renovations in particular often uncover older pipework behind the walls that needs bringing up to standard while everything's already open.

What suburbs do you service around Meadowbank?

West Ryde, Melrose Park, Ryde, Putney and Rhodes, alongside Meadowbank itself.

Common questions

The Legal Stuff, Made Simple

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

Up to the boundary of your block, it's your plumbing and your call. Once a line crosses onto Sydney Water's main, responsibility for a fault there shifts to them.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, licensed plumbers and gas fitters, fully insured, Lic #465156C.

Can you check my licence number?

We'd rather you looked it up yourself than just took our word for it: verify.licence.nsw.gov.au.

Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?

Some things are fine, like turning off the water at the meter or shutting an isolation valve under a fixture. Anything involving the pipework, drainage or gas itself needs a licensed plumber under NSW rules, and gas work specifically needs a licensed gas fitter.
